Riddles of Rennaisance medal guide / walkthrough

Posted by Knuckstrike - January 22nd, 2011

>>> Wylina's table of contents <<<

This is a medal guide / walkthrough of the game: Riddles of Renaissance. There are 10 medals, three of them are secret. They are worth a total of 305 points.

The meaning of the game is to click on the thing that fits the description.
When you play for the first time, play on greenhorn mode. You can practise well there.

This guide first shows a bigger hint than the hint included in the game, and then the solution.

1) Where in this painting does it show the painter's signing?

2) The large person to the right is Mars. What is he wearing?

3) It's not a person, but it does live.

4) It has nothing to do with the creatures on the front of the picture.

5) The thing you have to click is a person on the table, combine that with the hint given in the game.

6) Only one person in this picture is crying. What do his tears wet?

7) He is holding a symbol, and there is only one he in the picture. And he is very young.

8) Where is the Mona Lisa famous for? (Except for that it's very small)

9) What makes pearls?

10) A scholar reads from books, a soldier fights with swords, and lovers give each other presents, like flowers.

11) The music instrument you're looking for isn't held by any of the persons. It's too high for that.

12) Look for something that symbolises the flow of time.

13) They want to hide from anyone else, so look for a couple that is hiding, but not in the tents.

14) This one is too easy, so no additional hints.

15) With ''the ship'', they mean the big ship to the left.

16) Where in the picture are clouds? Look there.

17) If they don't keep it with them, it will fly away.

18) With ''he'', they mean the dog. What symbolises a dog belonging to someone?

19) The audience can be found to the left of the fighting.

20) It's a musical instrument.

21) You're searching for a reflection.

22) The things you are looking for look more like statues than people.

23) Look for the guy that shows it's butt.

24) Adam and Eve are below the middle of the picture.

25) Both things are very, very close to the old man.

26) The man you're looking for is in the back row. This one is really confusing, so no shame if you look it up.

27) I'll say the colours the characters you're looking for are wearing:
1. Jesus Christ - Red and blue
2. Suleiman the Magnificent - Yellow/goldish
3. A man pouring wine - Yellow
4. A butcher with a knife - Green

28) Which animal looks like a fan?

29) He's standing with his back towards you.

30) It says ferry, and for a ferry, you need water.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now for the real answers:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1) Click the autograph in the back of the picture, right under the chandelier.

2) Click the white sheet that covers Mars.

3) Click the small, white dog on the bed.

4) Click the middle of the swirl of clouds on the right side.

5) Click Jesus, the guy in the middle.

6) Click the hanky of the guy in the upper-left corner.

7) Click the fruit in the hand of the baby.

8) Click her eyes.

9) Click the shell she's standing in.

10) Click the book and the sword in the hands of the person to the left, and the flower in the hand of the person to the right. (Sword->soldier , book->scholar , flower->lover)

11) Click the dog at the bottom for the optional solution, and the flute hanging in the tree at the top of the painting for the real solution.

12) Click the hourglass

13) Click the two persons in the bush in the bottom-right corner.

14) Click the arrow near the almost naked man's feet.

15) Click the legs sticking out of the water. They are located just under the large ship.

16) Click the man in the cloud in the upper-right corner.

17) Click the bird in the hands of the kids.

18) Click the dog's collar.

19) Click the gap in the rocks on the left side of the picture. There's light coming out of it.

20) Click the lute.

21) Click the person in the door opening for the optional solution, and the reflection of the mirror at the bottom of the screen for the real solution.

22) The things you are looking for are six golden-brown statues. One is at the upper-left, one at the upper-right, two at the lower-left and two at the lower-right. Note that when I say upper-left etc., in this particular case I mean the upper-left of the rectangular central portion, not of the painting as a whole.

23) Click the man showing his butt at the bottom of the painting.

24) Click somewhere in the bottom-center panel.

25) Click either the golden can the old man is looking in, or the white bowl next to it.

26) Click the head that is directly between the head to the right of jesus' head, and the helmet above it.

27) The four men you need to click are:
1. Jesus Christ - Wears red and blue, he is in the middle of the painting.
2. Suleiman the Magnificent - Wears yellow/goldish, he is on the left side of the painting, sitting at the table.
3. A man pouring wine - Wears yellow, is on the right of the painting.
4. A butcher with a knife - Wears green, he stands above Jesus.

28) Click the peacock.

29) Click the man dressed in yellow, at the bottom-right corner of the screen, who is standing with his back towards you.

30) Click the ferryman at bottom-center, immediately to the right of the cross.

Thanks to RickyTheFish for making some of the solutions more clear.

Now, for the medals:

Why did the egg cross the road? - 10 points - Click the egg in riddle 16, walking across the bottom of the painting.
Pope - 25 points - Get more than 270 points. Do this on greenhorn mode to make it easier. When you click wrong, 1 points gets subtracted. When you use a hint, 5 points get subtracted. You can get a maximum of 300 points, so don't use any hints and you will easily get it.
Punteggio Perfetto - 25 points - Don't click wrong once, and don't use any hints. You can only get this on greenhorn mode.
Those are for codardi- 25 points - Don't use any hints. Pretty straightforward.
Art historian - 50 points - To get all paintings, get a perfect game. That means that you can't use any hints, and can't click wrong once on greenhorn mode. You must also get the two optional solutions in paintings 11 and 21. Those are mentioned in the solutions section of the guide.
Enigma show - 50 points - You need to practise a bit before getting this. You don't have time to open the guide, so be sure you remember all of the solutions.
Addicted- 100 points - Clear the game 4 times. Just do it four times on greenhorn mode. This one is worth a little too much points, if you ask me.

There are also three secret medals, but I can't tell you about them. If you really want to know them, or if you are stuck, comment. Or PM me.

13) Click the couple in the far lower-right corner behind the bushes.

28) Click the peacock.
29) Click the person dressed in yellow in the lower-right holding a globe.
30) Click the ferryman at bottom-center immediately to the right of the cross.

Thanks, I'm going to finish it now, but I will change some things. Some of your descriptions are clearer.

It's relevant to note that when it comes to things like Mona Lisa's eyes, or the couple gazing into each other's eyes on the Fountain of Youth picture, you need to click exactly on the item you're specifying; clicking between her eyes won't do, nor will clicking between the lovers.

Doesnt seem to be that hard to get the three secrets:
1st one: too easy
2nd one: patience
3rd one: Think Dirty
