Simple, but sounds nice

Since this was submitted two years ago, I'm surprised you ask for a review now, since you've probably improved much.

It starts with the main beat of course. Really chilly, and perfect for a chill loop like this. A negative point about it is that it stays the same throughout the whole song. A small difference every 24 seconds (16/32 beats) would give something extra to the song.
The ticking (for example at 0:27) is nice, and instead of it being irritating, gives more of a relaxing, structured feeling. Good idea, I hadn't heard that in a song before.
The piano is something I really liked in this song. I would like to hear it more throughout the loop, since it fits perfect with it. Or at least put it a bit more to the foreground.

This loop is pretty relaxing, which I think you wanted to achieve with this loop. The simplicity adds to that, but I wouldn't mind a few extra things in it.

Great

The starting beat is nice. It didn't last too long, and gradually builds up.
The whole building up, in fact, was very well done. It did take too long though. At 1:30 the first real house/dubstep music started, and I would've liked it more a bit earlier in the song.

Overall there's nothing in peticular I think is wrong with this song. Everything sounds nice, the intro and the end are well built up, and the little dubstep sounds in it fit nicely. It was a bit boring though, since there was not much variation in those five and a half minutes. If you could make a two minute version of it, it would be less repetive, and I think you can still fit all those sounds and things in it that make this song sound nice.

Still, it's a nice song, and certainly deserves an 8

This is not dubstep dude, just electro.
Well, I don't know what do you expect out of a song, but I don't think that it was repetitive (and I really made lots of repetitive songs). :(
I respect your review, I don't bash at people if I get less that 10, as long as it's helpful, and yours really is.
Thank you.

How classical is supposed to sound like

This is a piece that I really like. Normally you'd expect classical songs to take quite long, with climaxes and anticlimaxes, but I like how this song doesn't have that.
What I like most is the lively feeling this song creates. It would fit just perfectly in any game with an open field.

I honestly can't find anything wrong with this song. It loops perfectly, what you don't see often. Don't change anything, it's fine with me.

Great

I like how this sounds a bit more clear than the original. The soft melody sounds really well. Dubstep is not my favorite music genre, so I liked that it wasn't too clear and loud.
A negative point about that is that it makes the change to dubstep less sudden. That is one of the things that gives the original character, and this doesn't have that now.
Still, everything sounds nice, and I like how you made the intro and the fade-out quiet and with few instruments. Since there's nothing in this song that's wrong, you definitely get an eight.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to emphisise the drop more next time :)

Very nice.

Those water sound effects you use at the beginning immediately give this song a rainy feeling. Nicely done. Just after that odd drum (I forgot the name) came in, which gave more of a beach feeling. Nice to have those two sorts combined.

After that nearly the whole song existed of those beachy drums with a background music and beat. It was nice how tropcal it all sounded, but it did get a bit repetive. This only started near the end though, so don't think this whole song was boring, because it isn't.

Perhaps the only thing I didn't like about this song was the volume going up and down around 1:40. It irritated me more than it gave a feeling of something special.

This song has one of the best intro and ending I've heard in a while on the audio portal. It gives a nice atmosphere, and would fit just fine in a game. It even is nicce to listen to just on its own. I don't think it's completely perfect though.

A nice experiment

It's always nice to see someone posting a experiment like this, and that it actually works. Although it sounds more like a desert song than a fire temple song, it still sounds pretty nice.

It isn't a top song though, mainly because just three instruments lack the energy to make it a powerful song. Because it's just over a minute and has only two different kinds of parts (a slow and a fast part), it's not really diverse.
It was probably the best choice to make it that short, because you only had three instruments. So mixed feelings about that.

Great job on the looping, by the way. The slow pat at the end matches the slow part at the start. This makes the middle part stand out even more.

SkyeWint responds:

Hello! Glad I got another review!

It is difficult to get a lot in a song when it only has 3 instruments. I tried to make it diverse under the circumstances. And for a video game loop, it's actually on the longer end, considering some I've heard. :P

It wasn't meant to have a lot of energy, but rather more of a background rumbling - the actual 'fire' would be in the situation. It's more of an ambient thing, I guess I was trying to do something like the LoZ fire temple - that's what was in my head as I made it.

I'm glad you liked the looping. I worked really hard on that bit.

Thanks for the review!
